Seriously. I asked myself this question. This is what, the 3rd or 4th server I’ve flipped on. Run it for a few years getting random hits and misses then end up shelving the whole thing after the renewal of the server space goes up a few bucks a year.

For some reason, I keep coming back. Social Media is like a virus to my soul. Everyone posting everything about nothing. Bad opinions on matters they don’t understand. Instant reactions to the world around them instead of breathing in, observing, tasting, smelling, seeing, and then digesting the input before responding.

The last time I had a website was 2020. Right in the heart of the pandemic. I was journaling our social distancing. How my family dealt with the daily routine of being stuck indoors without any clue when life would go back to normal.

I still have those photos somewhere on some hard drive stacked in a drawer with other hard drives full of ancient photos. I’ll slowly start posting that stuff as I consolidate and find it. I’ll try to write more. if anything at least I am not constrained to the formats that Instagram requires.

This isn’t a job substitution. This is still a hobby. Not a hustle, not an exercise in how to make a million bucks of passive income. Just me doing stupid arty stuff and posting it on a public server.

Like James Graca once told me over 20 years ago, “If they love it; cool. If they hate it; cool. The fact you made someone feel anything is the point.”

Salud mi amigos. Poor one out.
